Fire Beacons to Fibre Optics

Monday 2 Apr to Saturday 24 Nov
Saltash Heritage Museum

This new exhibition about communication will also feature a small display of photographs, memorabilia and models of gigs, reflecting the history of the Caradon Pilot Gig Club, whose base is in Saltash and whose men's 'A' team were world champions from 1995-2001. Most famous of their boats is the 'Ann Glanville' built in 1900 and named after a Saltash woman who rose to fame as a rower, winning races with her all-female crew.
