Wrestling - Activity 5

Ask each group to work on their recorded ‘hot-seat’ interview.

First, chop out any questions, mistakes or stumbles.

Edit together all the best bits of interview, perhaps finding a particularly good line to end on.

Once the sound track is laid down, begin to work on the visuals.

Choose all the most atmospheric and best-looking shots, carefully edit the beginnings and endings of each shot and arrange them in some sort of sequence over the sound track.

Do not try to ‘match’ words to pictures but, as in Mark Jenkin’s films, be tangential and poetic.

Add title sequence and credits.

Hold a film-screening to premiere your documentaries.
